We're pleased to share a development update on Computle Client v3, currently in private testing as a release candidate. This version introduces integration with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), making it easier and more secure to connect to your Computle workstations.
Understanding the Journey
Where We Started
Our initial client versions established the foundation for remote workstation access. The v1 and v2 clients served their purpose well, providing reliable connectivity through a traditional VPN approach. However, as we worked closely with growing architecture firms and creative studios, we recognised opportunities to make the experience even better.
The original process involved multiple manual steps – from server configuration to DNS management. While functional, we knew we could deliver something more streamlined for both users and IT administrators.

We understand that different users have different preferences. That's why v3 offers two convenient ways to sign in:
- Magic Link Authentication
- Microsoft Entra ID (OAuth2)

Computle Client v3 is currently in private testing as a release candidate. We're working with select users to ensure everything runs smoothly before the general release.
