May 2024 Development Update
I'm Jake, the founder of Computle, a remote workstation subscription for the AEC and VFX industries. In this post, I'll be walking you though our May 2024 development updates.
Management Portal (RC)
After our internal migration away from VMWare, we decided to pause development of our previous Computle management portal. Recognising the need for control over the Computle machines, we pledged to release a device management portal. We are pleased to announce that this is now in Release Candidate stage with further refinements planned.

Computle Device v1.3 (Beta)
Building upon our enhanced login flow, we are pleased to announce that version 1.3 of our Computle Device has been released and is under beta testing. This version provides enhancements to display configuration, machine selection, and upgrade control.

SecureBoot with TPM2.0 (RC)
Secure Boot ensures that only trusted software with a valid digital signature is loaded during Computle startup process, enhancing security against malware and unauthorised software.

Host-level micro-segmentation (Beta)
To further enhance our security footprint and bolster our ISO27001 standards, we are exploring how to enable micro-segmentation at a host level. This will enable us to provide additional tenant isolation beyond our existing use of machine-level isolation.
